Aghosh Program Registration
Another wonderful welfare scheme, the Aghosh Program Registration, has been launched by the Punjab government. As per the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, under this program, financial assistance of Rs. 23,000 will be provided to pregnant women and mothers of children below the age of two. This program is no less than a blessing for women living in backward and rural areas, where health facilities are often non-existent.
The government has announced the implementation of this program in 13 districts in a phased manner, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, Lodhran, and others. Pregnant women will be given Rs. 2,000 on first registration, while assistance of up to Rs. 1,500 will be provided for each medical check-up. Rs. 4,000 will also be given as a gift for the birth of a child so that better care of the mother and child is possible.
