Under the labor-friendly policy of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the process of providing free flats to industrial workers has been officially started. 750 flats will be allotted to industrial workers of Lahore and Kasur districts under the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund. The allotment of these flats is being done at the Workers Welfare Complex, Sundar Industrial Estate, Kasur (Phase One). The last date for submission of applications has been fixed as September 8, 2025, after which no application will be accepted.
Quota System of Flat Allotment
On the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a quota system has been implemented to make the allotment process fair and transparent. Accordingly, two-thirds (2/3) of the flats have been allocated for industrial workers of Kasur district, while one-third (1/3) of the units are reserved for workers of Lahore district. In addition, a special quota has also been set, in which 3 percent is reserved for the widows of deceased industrial workers and 2 percent for disabled workers.
