Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program
Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program, a transformative initiative aimed at providing free land to poor and homeless individuals across the province. This program is a key part of her vision of “Housing for All”, ensuring that every deserving citizen has access to secure and dignified housing. The initiative primarily targets low-income families who are currently without shelter, offering them a chance at stability and improved living conditions. The Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency has been designated as the executing body, while the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED) serves as the administrative authority. Land allotment under this scheme will be done transparently to ensure that it reaches those most in need.

Project Details
Under the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program, the government of Punjab. Will provide 3-marla residential plots free of cost to eligible beneficiaries who are poor and homeless. This landmark initiative is designed to uplift the underprivileged by granting them ownership of land. Offering them not just a place to live but also a sense of security and dignity. The program will roll out in multiple phases to ensure effective execution and outreach. In the first phase, the authorities will distribute a total of 1,892 residential plots across 23 different areas. These housing schemes cover 19 districts of Punjab. This phase marks the beginning of a broader strategy to address the housing needs of low-income families across the province. By offering free residential plots, the initiative provides much-needed relief to people. The program empowers those who have long lived without proper shelter by providing them with a permanent asset.

The first phase of the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program will cover 19 districts across Punjab.
These include:

- Bahawalnagar
- Bahawalpur
- Bhakkar
- Chiniot
- Faisalabad
- Gujrat
- Jhang
- Jhelum
- Kasur
- Khushab
- Layyah
- Lodhran
- Mandi Bahauddin
- Okara
- Rajanpur
- Sahiwal
- Sargodha
- Vehari
These districts have been selected to ensure a wide and inclusive. Distribution of residential plots to deserving individuals across various regions of the province.
Eligibility Criteria for Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Program:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab, as verified by a valid CNIC.
- Applications can only be submitted for housing schemes located within the applicant’s district.
- Neither the applicant, their spouse, nor their dependent children should own any plot or house anywhere in Pakistan.
- The applicant must have a clean criminal record with no involvement in any unlawful activities.
- The applicant must not be a defaulter of any bank or financial institution.
- All information provided in the application must be accurate and truthful. Any false declaration may result in immediate disqualification from the program.
