Masawat Program For Women
The Masawat Program is a special initiative launched to provide financial support to transgender women in Pakistan. Under this program, transgender women receive Rs. 10,500 every three months to help them meet their basic needs.
The Ehsaas Program aims to reduce poverty for all people in need, while the Masawat Program focuses on ensuring equal treatment for everyone, including the transgender community.
The government of Pakistan decided to extend financial help to transgender women aged 40 and above, recognizing their challenges.
In Pakistan, transgender people often face serious social, cultural, and economic problems, including discrimination and isolation. Many live in poverty with limited access to education, jobs, and healthcare. Because of this, they are among the most disadvantaged groups in society.

To address these issues, the Punjab Social Protection Authority launched the Masawat Program under the Transgender Persons Welfare Policy. The program offers unconditional cash transfers to elderly and disabled transgender persons and also aims to promote employment opportunities and microloans for small transgender-led businesses.
