“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will likely receive heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in areas including Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Haripur, Bannu, and Kohat.

Flood Alert Issued for Sindh Cities, Monsoon Alert
The expected weather may cause flash floods in streams and drains, landslides, road closures, and possible interruptions to electricity and communication services.
Sindh will likely see isolated to moderate showers in Sukkur, Nawabshah, Kashmore, Hyderabad, Karachi, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, and Mithi. Heavier rain may hit Ghotki, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu, potentially causing urban flooding, traffic disruptions, and damage to roads and buildings.
Public Alert: Rain, Flood Risk in Balochistan Monsoon Alert
Light to heavy rain is likely in different parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran, Barkhan, Jaffarabad, Kohlu, Sibi, Dera Bugti, Loralai, Lasbela, and Naseerabad. This weather may cause water to collect on roads, create traffic problems, and lead to damage from strong winds and lightning.
NDMA has advised the public to take care, stay indoors during the rain, avoid travel if not necessary, and secure vehicles and loose items. Tourists are also advised not to visit hilly or flood-prone areas during this time.

Urban Flooding Risk in Punjab Cities
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Punjab, has issued a weather warning ahead of the upcoming monsoon spell expected from July 5 to 10. The alert warns of the risk of urban flooding and rising river levels due to heavy rainfall.

Emergency Services on High Alert for Flood Risk
PDMA Punjab Director General Irfan Ali Kathia has issued a warning about possible flooding in hill torrents and rain drains starting from July 7. Urban flooding could also impact areas in northern and central Punjab.
In response, authorities have directed departments such as the Water and Sanitation Agency, Rescue 1122, and the health, irrigation, and local government departments to stay on high alert. They urge people to stay indoors during heavy rain, avoid unnecessary travel, and keep children away from flooded areas and electrical equipment.
Recent rainfall data from PDMA shows that Jhelum received the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours at 31mm, followed by Mangla at 29mm and Attock at 14mm. Light rain was also recorded in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Sialkot, and Multan.
New Rain Alert for Balochistan: Flash Flood Risk in 20 Districts
“The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Balochistan has issued a warning, stating that a fresh spell of monsoon rain will likely impact 20 districts from July 4 to 8.”
Many areas of Balochistan, including Sherani, Zhob, Ziarat, Musakhail, Duki, Loralai, Harnai, Sibi, Barkhan, Nasirabad, Usta Muhammad, Kalat, Lasbela, Surab, Khuzdar, Awaran, Sohbatpur, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu, are likely to receive heavy rain. Flash flooding may occur in seasonal streams and rivers in these areas.
“Authorities strongly urge tourists to avoid unnecessary travel and advise residents to stay clear of dams, rivers, and picnic spots. Deputy commissioners must monitor the situation and ensure the availability of heavy machinery to keep main roads accessible.”
