Tram service launched in Lahore

The provincial minister said that the first tram service in Lahore city will be launched by February next year. In the first phase, this tram will be operated on Jail Road and Main Boulevard, while in the second phase, tram service will also be started on Canal Road.

This project is being considered a big step towards making Lahore a modern and eco-friendly city.

Modern depots and electric buses

41 new-style depots are being built in 41 districts of Punjab, from where the entire transport system will be operated in an organized manner. According to Bilal Yasin, electric buses will also start running on the roads of Punjab from December.

These electric buses will not only reduce environmental pollution but will also provide the citizens with comfortable and safe travel facilities.

Bilal Yasin also said that the government’s goal is to shift 80 percent of Punjab’s transport to electric by 2030. For this purpose, more than 1000 charging points will be established across the province to make it easier to charge electric vehicles.

Apart from this, a test drive of driverless vehicles has also been planned in Punjab, which will be a breakthrough in the world of technology.
