Sila-e-Fun Program is a financial assistance scheme for elderly artists in Pakistan. Artists meeting the criteria receive monthly support under the Sila-e-Fun initiative.

Sila-e-Fun Program
The Punjab Social Protection Policy has recognized that many elderly and disabled people face serious income problems, making it one of the six main challenges in the province. According to international guidelines, older people should be guaranteed a basic income. However, Pakistan is the only country in the region that still does not have a social pension scheme for the elderly. Other countries like Bangladesh and India started such programs in the 1990s. This makes it necessary for the government to introduce a cash support program to help take care of the elderly.
How to Register Online for the Sila-e-Fun Program
The Sila-e-Fun Program is a financial assistance scheme launched by the Punjab Social Protection Authority.
It helps senior artists in all 36 districts of Punjab who have worked in their field for over 25 years. The program gives monthly financial support to poets, writers, journalists, musicians, painters, and others involved in the arts, media, and culture. Artists who are over 50 years old and earn less than Rs. 15,000 per month will receive Rs. 5,000 every month as a pension.
