Dhi Rani Program is a revolutionary welfare project of the Punjab Chief Minister, Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif, which aims to facilitate the marriage of daughters of economically weak and destitute families. Eligibility Criteria

Initiated by the Punjab Government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, helps underprivileged, orphaned, and differently-abled girls aged 18 to 40, including daughters of persons with disabilities, by organizing collective wedding ceremonies to support their marriages.

Who Can Apply for the Dhi Rani Program?

The applicant must be the bride herself, or her father, mother, or legal guardian.

  • The bride must be a resident of Punjab.
  • Girls falling into any of the following categories are eligible. 
  • Destitute girls.
  • Orphans.
  • Persons with Disabilities.
  • Daughters of Persons with Disabilities.

Age Requirement:

  • The eligible age bracket for brides is 18 to 40 years at the time of application.

Required Documentation:

  1. Affidavit:
    • An affidavit (stamp paper) must be submitted, confirming:
    • The bride is currently unmarried.
    • She is willing to participate in the government-organized collective wedding ceremony.
    • This document should be attested by an oath commissioner or a notary public.

Features of the Dhi Rani Program

Weeding Gift By CM

Under the Dhee Rani Program, each bride will receive a gift package to support her new beginning. Until 19th April 2025, the total value of this gift package is Rs. 206,000, which includes essential household items and wedding-related necessities provided by the government. Starting from 19th April 2025, the program has revised its distribution method. Instead of providing physical items, each bride will receive Rs. 121,000 through an ATM card as a wedding gift. This cash support allows brides to meet their personal needs with more flexibility and financial independence.

Money Gift for the Dhi Rani by CM

Under the Dhee Rani Program, each bride will receive Rs. 100,000 as salami. This amount will be transferred directly through an ATM card. The purpose is to provide financial support at the beginning of her new life. The cash gift allows the bride to use the amount as per her personal needs. It reflects the government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged women with dignity.
