Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has set a target of constructing 20,000 houses across the province next month. A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which the progress of the projects of the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program was reviewed in detail. The meeting also reviewed the scheme to provide free plots to homeless citizens in Punjab. After considering the recommendations and suggestions, loans worth Rs. 8.2 billion were issued for the construction of 9,015 houses.

According to the briefing, more than 400,000 applications have come for the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program with complete documents, and more than 74,000 draft applications have also been submitted to the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar portal.
